A push-up suspension door commonly used as a garage door consists of a plurality of hinged door assemblies. Usually, the suspended doors are supported on a pair of L-shaped tracks, which allow the garage door to move up from roughly vertically closed to horizontally open. In order to complete such movement, a plurality of roller supports are installed on the side edge close to the garage door. There is a roller on each roller support, which is engaged on a fixed L-shaped track and can roll on it. Generally, a pair of hinged rollers are hinged together. There is a metal hinge connecting pipe for inserting the mandrel of the roller on the butt hinge.
Generally, the roller on the roller support part is mainly composed of metal parts. In this way, when the door moves, the metal to metal contact between the roller and the L-shaped track will produce a lot of noise. Moreover, in order to reduce the material cost, the roller support is usually made of ordinary steel. Although the roller support is usually installed inside the suspension door, there are still many components exposed, so rust and other corrosion problems are inevitable. Such corrosion will make the door produce more noise and damage the roller support.
The improvement advantage is the roller assembly on the garage door, which includes a mandrel and a roller made of polymer material. The mandrel includes a shaft rod part and a seat ring part. The shaft rod part is installed on the garage door, and the seat ring part extends a distance beyond the side of the door. A shoulder part protruding radially from the inner surface of the roller is installed in a circular groove of the seat ring part. The outer end of the roller is engaged on the L-shaped track at the side of the channel.
Both the mandrel and the roller are single integral components. The mandrel is made of glass fiber reinforced nylon, while the roller is made of nylon with high impact performance. On the seat ring part, there is a distal part of the hub and a distal slope surface, and a groove separates them from a proximal part of the hub and a proximal slope surface. The far end and near end slope extend from the outer surface of the far end and the near end hub to the outer surface of the groove respectively. The roller comprises a far end slope surface and a proximal slope surface, which are opposite to the far end slope surface and the proximal slope surface of the seat ring part respectively.
